Slush is the biggest tech conference that will cover Northern Europe and Russia. It will be the platform for the most promising start-ups from the region to showcase their talent to the world. The two-day conference will take place on November 21-22, 2012 at the Cable Factory in Helsinki, Finland. Also, it will see some of the leading entrepreneurs, media, investors and industry experts from Northern Europe and beyond.

The conference is organized by Startup Sauna, a seed accelerator programme for startup companies funded by Aalto University. It is being held every year and this year it’s the fifth time. More than 2,500 visitors, 500 early-stage start-ups and 200 investors are expected to be seen during the conference.

Helsinki is seen as one of the major platforms to reach the European Market. The organizers want to help the European start-ups get that perfect start required to be a successful organization one day. Co-CEO of Startup Sauna, Miki Kuusi says, “Our goal is to develop Helsinki into a globally recognised hub of technology – an Istanbul of the Arctic, where East and West meet. Co-operation with Skolkovo will ensure that leading global investors and media will come here in search of the next big success story.”

One of the major eye-catchers at the event will be Jolla. The company has been under flashlights since its start due to its MeeGo theory and some ex-linkups with Nokia. It recently signed a 200Million alliance in Hong Kong, China and is on the right track to debut its Sailfish OS. The complete mobile market will be having an eye on it. Also will be some fans in a hope to have a look at their first Smartphone device, which is very rare to happen.

Overall, it will be a nice way for all the tech giants to measure up their power against the other players.
