It was reported that Jolla will not be an official part of MWC 2013 but will be launching the SDK for Sailfish OS and guess what, its official now! Jolla has launched the SDK for their Sailfish OS but on their new website.
Let’s come to the actual talk now. The SDK Alpha kit is currently available for Linux only, both 32-bit and 64-bit. SDK kit for Windows and Mac will be made available later. The kit also includes templates for the developers to start creating their first apps. After that, they will be able to design on their own. Also, if you have any problems or suggestions, you may ask the support from Jolla.
Talking about the website, there are different sections related to the Design, Developers and Community as well. While SDK we have already discussed, the Design department consists of all the information related to the UI, features including gestures, multitasking, pulley Menu, etc. and some Design Principles. Now the hard work by the developers of Sailfish OS appears to be shining as there are many new features which might not be in the current list of other Operating Systems.
You have the link of the website. So, download the SDK file and tell us how it was working with these “Young ‘Smart’Phone Techies”.
