Ahoy Finnish Sailors!
Yesterday we discovered from Jolla that the second Pre-order wave is gonna hit Finland today and there is it as they promised.
You can visit jolla.com/fi and order your device for €100. News came that the rush was so much that Jolla.com is literally flooded with people and the servers are not coping well! So cool down a bit 😉
There’s also a new image shared on Jolla’s official Facebook page regarding the pre-order campaign and it shows off the camera UI. Well it’s a sneak peak because we can’t see much as it’s only a Setting button, and some other stuff. There’s also something else that caught my eyes, the guy who’s holding the phone is pressing his finger on the power button. Is that a hint for a Shutter button you think? I think so because the community has asked them a lot to include a shutter button on the device and since Jolla is trying to make the buttons disappear, they simply turn the power button as the shutter when the camera application is open and the camera UI is running. What do you guys think? Share it with us in the comment section.
The camera UI itself seems pretty practical to me. Not “Very” beautiful but bare in mind that Volvo cars are not very beautiful as well but they are practical and safe! 😉
Big buttons that are transparent so you can sort of see through them, not many distractions and a clear image. The buttons are not quite to the sides because they might be distract the edge gestures while being pressed by a person who has massive fingers (Not me!) So, very practical indeed! And that’s the point of a fast and responsive camera UI.
Well done Jolla! Well done!
Don’t have time to write more, must run through class as I’m late already but this was a rather important news that I had to share.
Hope you liked it, share us your opinions in the comment section, feedbacks are very welcomed!
