News news, news!
Jolla is soon to launch their co-creation platform that will add yet another definition in mobile open platform!
There are not much details yet as they haven’t actually opened it but it’s all soon to be revealed since they have announced it’s existence in a press report saying:
“Jolla believes in co-creation and wants to empower its users to participate in developing Jolla continuously
further and better. To facilitate co-creation and collect feedback, Jolla will be opening a portal at
together.jolla.com where customers can discuss and vote on which features they would like to see in Jolla,
report issues and submit ideas. ”
Never seen that from any other manufacturer being officially announced!
“We launched Jolla with Sailfish OS Beta to put the product in the hands of real customers as soon as possible.
We have received a lot of valuable feedback, for example, regarding power management and most wanted
features, and we are reacting quickly. We have already released two updates for the OS and are expecting to
rapidly improve the capabilities with frequent over the air updates,” Pienimäki concludes.
I personally add: They have received two updates and a hotfix! Which for me is considered as a great effort of being committed to the community and caring as much as possible. They literally work day and night for their passion. The hotfix I’m mentioning was released very late at night which means someone was there to do it! So the really do work 24/7. Salute!
Hopefully we’ll see this together.jolla.com web page soon and we’ll find out if it’s a forum sort of thing or beyond that. (I’d say way beyond that, and officially supported!)
