After the news about Jolla phone outselling the iPhone 5S and 5C in Finland through the Finnish operator DNA, news came out about another operator in Finland named Elisa getting interested in Jolla products but stressing the fact that “Jolla isn’t yet mass produced” which makes them back out a bit since in business; this is a big risk to take. But as we saw DNA took the risk, worked with Jolla very closely and basically helped Jolla to build the phone and they are not at all regretting it, plus they are even happy and every day we hear good news from them. Today it’s outselling iPhones, tomorrow is something definitely better and more successful.
Since Jolla is not mass produced, Elisa is still thinking about it but I have a question here. Despite the fact that it might be a risk being taken by Elisa or any other operator, how else Jolla is going to hit the shelves of different shops like everyone else do?
Jolla certainly isn’t capable of paying high amount of money to put stands in ever central station or every shopping mall all over the world and fill every billboard with their ads, therefore beside selling the phone over the internet via Jolla’s WebShop they need additional support from operators starting from Finland. DNA definitely did a great job in that matter, and now it’s time for others I suppose.
-” It is the consumer’s advantage that they have a lot of choice. We will be happy to sell Jolla, but it is not yet present, and it’s not mass produced. Jolla still has lot to do with its performance, Korpi said”
Let’s just hope they get to a deal very soon. As it’s apparent they are showing interest.
