Now if you’re familiar with IRC then it’s no issue but in case you’re not, IRC is the short form of “Internet Relay Chat“.
Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a system that facilitates transfer of messages in the form of text. The chat process works on a client/server model of networking. IRC clients are computer programs that a user can install on their system. These clients are able to communicate with chat servers to transfer messages to other clients. It is mainly designed for group communication in discussion forums, called channels, but also allows one-to-one communication via private messageas well as chat and data transfer, including file sharing.
This is an absolutely great, safe, classic and geeky way of transmitting text and files through internet without any extra app with fancy UI.
Speaking of fancy UI I must say that the UI of this IRC client is absolutely unlike anything on the market yet! It uses pulley menu everywhere and it is efficient although it’s only a beta application! The cover works magnificent and allows you to peek at your IRC notifications and know exactly from which channel you are receiving them. Have a look at how this application works:
Cheers and a big shout out to the developers of this fantastic IRC client. I can’t wait to start using it.
