Have an itch for a fancy eye catching OtherHalf?
Olli-Pekka Heinisuo can scratch that itch for you with his Chameleon OtherHalf which was an idea to make a semi-transparent TOH with some colored lights in it. But now as he progressed it, there appears an ambient light sensor that actually may need a lot of development but hey, it works quite okay I would say!
Olli-Pekka is the guy whom showed us the PowerHalf – The Extra battery TOH. so he knows his way around this.
Without further ado;
It is quite complicated to fully understand what’s going on at some points because obviously the sensor needs a lot of calibration to adopt the surrounding colors/lights. Let’s see how it develops through and let’s see if we can get a good fancy thing out of it.
It is quite amazing to see the passion from these outside-Jolla guys to be so passionate about making some hardware work. I guess I would do the same if I were the sort of hardware enthusiast!
Just to wrap up, here are some of the less progressed works of his Chameleon TOH:
Without the light sensor:
First ever (shown) prototype:
This is going to be something interesting and quite beautiful, don’t you think?
By the way! Ever thought how your Jolla would look if you have your OtherHalf covered with Carbon Fiber stickers? Well in case you haven’t seen it yet:
