It’s finally time to see real native applications come from some companies such as Spotify!
New platforms definitely need more time to grow and draw attention to itself, doesn’t it? But no matter how much time, it finally is the time for a start.
Of course good developers like CodeRus has been supporting Sailfish with their native looking apps and they honestly work great. Also Mike Sheldon and Lukas Vos Gueules are great developers who has made CuteSpotify, a native Spotify client for Sailfish OS which has worked absolutely fantastic for Spotify users with the use of active cover and all the native Sailfish OS features.
Now though, looks like Bob Jelica a Spotify employee has teamed up with Pär Bohrarper and they are building a native Spotify app which has the DNA of Spotify for Android but it definitely has adopted Sailfish UI quite well!
This is one beautiful application and it will most likely be a paid one but we will wait and see. Hopefully we’ll see no ads in the app as I and many of you hate adwares. But I appreciate the great job that Bob and Pär are doing together for making this happen and possibly make it the official Spotify app for Sailfish OS! Who knows?
