We have a report from our friend blog “AllboutN9 and Jolla” regarding an update to Warehouse application which is a client to openrepos website for downloading open source applications for Jolla and Nokia N9, mostly.
As you may have noticed, if you are a Warehouse user since many cool apps are available from there, the application could not install any downloaded RPM to Jolla because after update 8, Tahkalampi, there were slight changes to RPM sideloading and packagekit authorizations.
How to make it work?
According to AllboutN9:
Make sure you have “Allow untrusted software” enabled in settings (which you probably already have)
Open browser and go to: https://openrepos.net/content/basil/warehouse-sailfishos and download harbour-warehouse-0.3-18.armv7hl.rpm (or whatever is the latest version)
Once downloaded go to notification view (swipe up from outside display) and click on the downloaded file. You get to “Transfers” view where you can install Warehouse by clicking on the downloaded RPM file.
And it should work just like that.
Once again, shout out to Alain from AllboutN9.info whom made this article possible,
And thanks to Basil for the fast update!
